What is the GED Testing Program?
The GED (General Educational Development) test is a battery of five tests designed to measure the major concepts generally associated with four years of high school education. Successful completion of the GED test will earn you a STATE OF FLORIDA HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA, which could open the doors to jobs, promotions, college, and many other opportunities. The subject areas and time limits covered are:

MATHEMATICS (1 HR & 30 MIN)

LANGUAGE ARTS/WRITING/ESSAY (2 HRS)

LANGUAGE ARTS/READING (1 HR & 5 MIN)

SCIENCE (1 HR & 20 MIN)

SOCIAL STUDIES (1 HR & 10 MIN)
What will I get if I pass the GED Tests?
The Florida Department of Education issues a STATE OF FLORIDA HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA to those who qualify and pass with a minimum standard score of 410 or above on each of the five tests AND an overall standard score of 450 on all five tests for a total score of 2250 points or above.
Graduation Ceremony
Each year Collier County holds a GED Graduation Ceremony for the Graduates.
