EMPLOYER/MANAGER WORKSKILLS TRAINING: This is a basic supervisory course where you will learn to provide exceptional customer service, build excellent employees, and determine the cost of employee turnover. Also, improve your ability to apply and interview for internal job promotions.

SECRETARIAL OFFICE SKILLS: Students will learn the basics in secretarial office skills such as customer service, phone etiquette, filing, word processing, keyboarding, recordkeeping, and organization.

COMPUTER, ELEMENTS 6: You have a digital camera and digital photographs. Now, learn to use Photoshop Elements software on your PC to input, organize, improve, and exhibit your pictures using slide shows, album pages, web sites, Vcd disks and more. Familiarity with basic MS Windows techniques is required.

COMPUTER TROUBLESHOOTING ON BASIC PC's: What to do when you can't find a file, can't open an attachment, when the screen freezes, when the sound doesn't work, printing is too slow or poor quality, text is too small or large, etc. Learn how to protect yourself from viruses, get rid of junk e-mail, correct error messages, and much more.

COMPUTER, VISTA, BASICS OF WINDOWS ON LAPTOP: Students may bring their own Windows Vista laptop computer to class or use one of ours. Learn how to work with the new Windows Vista program. Students will learn how to work with the desktop, manage files, control the display screen, install and open programs, and discover the sub-programs built into Windows Vista.

DANCE, INTERNATIONAL SMOOTH BALLROOM, BEGINNING: Develop the social aspects of ballroom dancing as well as style, finesse, and confidence. Variations of Merengue, Rumba, Swing, Waltz, Foxtrot, and Tango and more will be reviewed and polished for your enjoyment in a social setting.

DANCE, RHYTHM BALLROOM: A fun class that develops the basic fundamentals to intermediate movements with a focus on the social aspects of ballroom dancing. Variations on the Merengue, Rhumba, Cha Cha, Swing, Waltz, Foxtrot, and Tango will be covered.

TAI CHI: Practice "Meditation in Motion" with gentle, graceful, flowing movements that will reduce stress and improve your health by improving muscle strength and definition and by increasing flexibility, energy, stamina, agility and feelings of well being. Learn basic techniques that are applicable for all levels. Bring mat or large towel.

YOGA: All levels and ages welcome. Yoga combines gentle stretches with strengthening and breathing exercises. A yoga practice brings more strength, vitality, concentration, relaxation, and awareness. Many people find yoga props (blocks, straps, etc.) helpful to achieve more effective movement and better balance. Props available after the first class at minimal cost. bring a towel and a mat to the first class.

RUSSIAN, BEGINNING: Designed for people who have never studied the Russian language. This course emphasizes the acquisition of basic vocabulary and sound systems and the development of basic speaking, reading, and writing skills while fostering an appreciation for Russian culture.

RUSSIAN, ADVANCED: Designed for Russian native speakers of all ages. The intent of this course is to assist native speakers in maintaining their proficiency in written and spoken Russian and cultural knowledge. In keeping with Russian educational philosophy, the course will utulize sections from classic literature to stimulate discussions. The course will include a review of Russian grammar, reading, and writing essays and will be conducted in Russian.

SIGN LANGUAGE, BEGINNING (Begins Thursday, June 11): This course offers a variety of verbs along with vocabulary for more fluent signing. It stresses the manual alphabet, numbers, and basic signs needed for communication. Students will learn signs, construct their own sentences, and sign them to class. American Sign Language (ASL) is used.

SIGN LANGUAGE, NON-BEGINNING (Begins July 7): Go beyond the basics! Complete the textbook from the beginning course and begin to use sign language resources to sign poems, songs, or personal short projects. Practice not using your voice and begin to communicate with American Sign Language (ASL) with peers in the class.
